MEET THE OWNER

Doris Colvin-North is the heart behind The Petal Patch Manchester. The Petal Patch Manchester is a sister location to The Petal Patch Florist and Gifts in Winchester. With a lifelong passion for floral design, Doris has been creating meaningful arrangements since the age of 16.

Raised in a family devoted to service, she has served in ministry alongside her parents since 1974 — a foundation that shaped her deep compassion for others and her calling to serve during life’s most tender moments.

Doris has spent many years in the funeral ministry, serving faithfully alongside her late husband. She is a Licensed Funeral Director, Licensed Pre-Need Agent, Life Producer, and Certified Crematory Operator, bringing professionalism, dignity, and heartfelt care to every family she serves. She also received her certificate in floral design several years ago.

A proud mother of two sons, Josiah and Joshua Jackson, Doris also treasures her role as “Mimi” to her grandchildren. When she’s not working, she enjoys singing and playing the piano — expressions of faith, comfort, and joy that have carried her through life’s seasons.

Since the passing of her spouse, Doris shares that her continued love for this community is what gives her strength to keep unlocking the doors each morning. Serving others — whether through flowers, ministry, or compassion — remains her purpose and her promise.
